Bagicha was born from a feeling — the desire to bring to Brisbane a side of Indian cuisine that had long been missing.

Husband and wife team, Ranbir and Harpreet Singh dreamed of sharing the essence of the British Colonial dining experience, a time when rich traditions and bold flavours met refinement and presentation.

For them, Bagicha is more than a restaurant. It’s a way to bring these dishes, layered with history and heritage, to life again — so diners can taste not just a meal, but a story told through spice, aroma, and artistry.

A Vision for Brisbane

When they opened their first restaurant, Kinara Indian Restaurant, it quickly became a favourite among South Brisbane locals.

That success sparked a vision: to create something new, something that honoured India’s colonial past while enriching Brisbane’s dining landscape. Bagicha became that vision realised — a garden where culture and flavour bloom together.
